Privacy Policy
The Aisle is operated by The Aisle LLC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email matt@theaisle.app.
1. Who we are
The Aisle (www.theaisle.app) is a free wedding vendor directory. Couples use it to discover and organize their vendors. Vendors use it to build a public profile and connect with engaged couples. The Aisle is a product of The Aisle LLC.
2. What we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through Clerk, our authentication provider. Vendors may also add a business name, phone number, website, and profile photo.
Vendor profile data
Vendors who claim a profile can add or edit: business description, service category, city/state, pricing information, photos, and contact preferences. This information is displayed publicly on your vendor profile page.
Facebook and Instagram data
Vendors may connect a Facebook Page to their Aisle profile. When you do, we receive:
- Your Facebook Page name and Page ID
- A Facebook Page access token (stored encrypted in our database)
- Your Facebook profile photo, if you choose to import it
- Publicly available Instagram profile photo, if imported via your connected Facebook Page
We do not read your posts, messages, friends list, or any personal Facebook data beyond what you explicitly authorize. The access token is used only to verify your Page identity and, if requested, import profile images.
You can disconnect your Facebook account at any time from your vendor dashboard under Settings. When you disconnect, your access token is deleted from our database.
Usage data
We collect basic server logs including page requests, timestamps, and IP addresses. This data helps us operate and improve the service. We do not sell it or share it for advertising purposes.
Cookies
The Aisle uses cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and session management. No third-party advertising cookies are set on this site. You can block cookies in your browser, but doing so may prevent you from signing in.
3. How we use your data
We use the data we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Display your vendor profile to couples searching for vendors
- Connect vendors with couples who scan QR codes at bridal expos
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, vendor connection notifications)
- Detect and prevent abuse or fraud
- Improve and operate the service
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to serve targeted advertising.
4. Third-party services

If you want information removed from your public profile, edit it in your vendor dashboard or email us at matt@theaisle.app.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and profile data as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days after deletion.
Facebook access tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect your Facebook account or when your account is deleted.

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of The Aisle after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. SMS and mobile messaging
If you provide your mobile number and tick the SMS consent box on one of our forms, we collect that number and the date and time of your consent. We use them only to send you text messages about The Aisle bridal expo — registration and booth confirmations, reminders, event-day logistics, your vendor guide, and referral updates — at a frequency of up to about four messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time.
